Course: Dessert, Snack
Cuisine: Mediterranean

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. toasted sesame (500 g)
  • 5 tablespoons honey (3¾ oz. /110g)

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized pot, heat up the honey on the stove until bubbles are formed.
  • Add the sesame and stir until well-mixed.
  • Pour the mixture on lightly oiled parchment paper.
  • Cover with another layer of lightly oiled parchment paper. Make sure that the oiled side is touching the mixture.
  • Roll the mixture out into a sheet of your desired thickness and trim the edges.
  • Use a knife to mark the outline of squares or rectangles but don’t cut yet.
  • After the sheet cools down, cut out the bars.
  • The bars are already sweet, no need to add sugar.
  • The sesame snack hardens but not completely, so it’s still easy to chew.
