Equipment

Belgian waffle maker

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2½ tsp. vanilla sugar (10 g)
  • ½ stick butter (melted (50 g))
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream (250 ml)
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by beating the eggs together with the sugar, heavy cream, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • Slowly add the flour while mixing, then add the butter as well.
  • Stir everything together until the batter is smooth and there aren’t any clumps.
  • Heat up your waffle maker.
  • Slowly pour the batter so you don’t overfill the sections and cause it to drip.
  • Wait for about five minutes or until it starts turning brown.
  • Serve with heavy cream and some chocolate syrup or strawberries and whipped cream on the side!
