The Turkish delight filling gives the cookies an aromatic taste with a bit of crunch from the nuts inside.
They’re irresistible and great to bring to dish parties to showcase your baking skills.

Turkish Delight Cookies Recipe
These cookies might look dull but these are the real deal, especially with a cup of tea

Ingredients
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1¾ sticks butter or butter-flavored substitute (200 g – optional: replace with oil but reduce the amount in ⅓)
- 2 tbsp. vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2½ tsp. vanilla sugar (10 g)
- A pinch of salt
- 7 oz. sour cream / Rich’s whipped topping (200 ml)
- Turkish delight – for filling
- Confectioner’s sugar – for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Place the butter or oil into a large bowl.
- Add the sour cream and vanilla sugar and mix until everything is combined.
- Add the self-rising flour, the vanilla instant pudding mix, and a pinch of salt over the mixture.
- Combine and Knead until you have a soft dough.
- Wrap the dough with plastic film and place it in the fridge for about an hour.
- Remove the dough from the fridge and divide into five sections.
- Place each dough ball over a sheet of lightly floured parchment paper.
- Cover the dough ball with another sheet of parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough in between with a rolling pin until thin.
- Cut out medium-sized triangles.
- Place a piece of Turkish delight over the wide end of every triangle.
- Roll up the dough over the Turkish delight as you do with a croissant.
- Place the cookies on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet, and bake for about 20 minutes.
- Powder the cookies with confectioner’s sugar after they cool down.
- Serve and enjoy.
