Equipment
● A pan to cook, a knife to cut, and a large spoon to stir. That’s it!
Ingredients
- 7 oz. pasta ‘elbows’ or any other hollowed shape (200 g)
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 large onion (sliced into quarter strips)
- 1 zucchini (grated into sticks)
- 1 carrot (grated into sticks)
- 1 green bell pepper (cut into strips)
- 1 red bell pepper (cut into strips)
- 2 tbsp. date syrup
- 1 tbsp. soup mix
- 1 tbsp. sweet paprika
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- ½ tbsp. turmeric
- Black pepper (or ½ small hot pepper)
- Teriyaki sauce
Instructions
- Boil some water and add some salt, then add your pasta.
- Keep stirring the pasta to prevent it from sticking
- Fry your onions in a wok pan, give them a few stirs until you hear them sizzle. Add your chopped vegetables soon after.
- Stir the vegetables every minute to help soften them a bit. But be careful not to make them too limp. Don’t forget to stir your pasta while you’re at it, as you’ll need it soon.
- Add all your seasoning ingredients which include: teriyaki sauce, turmeric, soy sauce, soup mix, paprika, date syrup, and pepper.
- Stir your mixture well to blend all those tasty flavors together.
- Remember the pasta? It should be nearly cooked by now. Add it to your wok pan with your mixture, then mix well.
- The smell would already be watering your mouth at this point. But if you want more, add some extra teriyaki sauce as you mix.
- The pasta should be ready by now. If you’d like to add some chicken or beef to the recipe, then do so in step 5. This’ll allow the chicken or beef to blend with all the flavors.
