Ingredients
Dough:
- 2 lbs. flour (sifted (necessary))
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup oil
- 2 tbsp. vanilla instant pudding mix
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 egg
- 2 tbsp. dry yeast
- 2½ cups lukewarm water
Glaze:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 slice lemon
Instructions
Dough:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Knead all the ingredients together until well combined. Let the dough rise for 1.5 hours.
- Take two portions of the dough and shape them into cylinders. Twist them together like a screw and close the ends to form a circular shape.
- Place on a parchment paper lined baking pan and brush with egg.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
- Allow the shapes to rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake until golden.
Glaze:
- In a small pot, combine all the glaze ingredients and bring them to a boil.
- Once bubbles form and the sugar has dissolved, continue cooking the glaze for another 30 minutes.Then let it cool down.
- After removing the rolls from the oven, brush each one with the prepared glaze.
