Frequently Asked Questions:
Stuffed Pasta Shells With Meat
Doesn’t the meat have to be fried a bit before cooking?
No, because the meat will fall apart while cooking.
Is it enough to cook the meat for only 10 minutes? Looks great!
Even 15 minutes, I cook based on what it looks like. The pasta also gets half-cooked in water beforehand.

Stuffed Pasta Shells With Meat
Equipment
Ingredients
Meat:
- 2 lbs. ground beef (1 kg)
- A pinch of salt
- Some black pepper
- Cilantro (to taste)
Sauce:
- 2 large tomatoes
- 5 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- About 9 oz. tomato paste (about 250 g)
- 4 cups water (more or less, depending on how thick you like it)
Instructions
- It’s essential to make sure not to cook the pasta all the way through when you boil it. You just need it to be ‘al dente,’ so it doesn’t lose its shape and get smashed while cooking in the sauce.

- Fill up the pasta shells with the meatballs.
- Arrange the pasta shells in a wide pot.
- Pour the sauce all over the pasta shells.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer over medium heat for about ten minutes.
