Course: Dessert
Cuisine: Mediterranean

Equipment

Universal measuring cup 8 oz. (240 ml)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1½ tbsp. vanilla sugar (20 g)
  • 3 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. sugar (a teaspoon for each cup)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (about half a teaspoon for each cup)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, pour 1½ cups of milk and bring it to a boil.
  • In a bowl, mix the leftover half a cup of milk with three tsp of cornstarch until the mixture is soft and has no clumps.
  • As the milk in the saucepan starts to boil, add the previous mixture and stir until it thickens.
  • Shut the flame and add sugar and vanilla sugar to taste—we don’t recommend adding too much sugar because there’s vanilla sugar already.
  • To serve it properly, pour the drink into a cup and sprinkle some cinnamon, shredded coconut, chopped walnuts, or anything you like on top.
