Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 package spaghetti/pappardelle (cooked (400 g))
Meatballs:
- 1 lbs. ground beef (½ kg)
- A bushel of parsley (chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- ½ cup Matzah meal (for softer meatballs – replace with breadcrumbs)
- A pinch of salt
- Soup mix (to taste)
- Ras El Hanout spice (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Cinnamon (to taste)
- Cumin (to taste)
- Some oil
Sauce:
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 small can tomato paste (125 g)
- 5 garlic cloves (chopped)
- Soup mix
- A pinch of salt
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Cumin (to taste)
- Sugar (to taste)
- Paprika (to taste)
- Boiling water
Instructions
Meatballs:
- Mix all the meatball ingredients together using some latex or PE gloves until you’re sure everything is thoroughly combined.
- Oil your gloved hands and form small balls from the meat.
- Place the balls aside until the sauce is ready.
Sauce:
- In a large pan, fry your onions until they turn golden.
- Pour the tomato paste and stir, then add the garlic cloves and paprika.
- Keep frying while mixing everything.
- Slowly pour boiling water, soup mix, salt, black pepper, cumin and sugar.
- Add the meatballs to the boiling sauce.
- Let it cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Add the pre-cooked spaghetti/pappardelle.
- Mix everything thoroughly to ensure the spaghetti is covered with the sauce.
- Bring the heat down and cook for another three minutes while stirring.
- Turn off the stove, serve, and enjoy!
