Mixed Green Salad With Fruit And Nuts! A vibrant combination of vegetables and strawberries, with the addition of cashews, topped with a vinaigrette-citrus dressing, creating a symphony of flavors and textures; a delightful balance of sweetness, and crunch.

Mixed Green Salad With Fruit And Nuts

Try this mix of greens, fruits, and nuts salad for a change.

Ingredients

Salad:

  • Any type of favorite leaves ( a handful of Salanova lettuce, a handful of spring mix, a handful of Lalique lettuce (also possible to use spinach leaves, arugula, romaine lettuce, etc.))
  • 1 purple onion (cut into rings)
  • 5-7 strawberries (rinsed and cut (or any other fruit of the season))
  • A handful of salted or honey glazed cashews

Vinaigrette-citrus dressing:

  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 orange (squeezed (optional – add also the zest))
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. grainy Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Mix all salad ingredients in a bowl.
  • Shake all dressing ingredients in a jar or a sealed container.
  • Pour dressing over the salad and toss.
