Ingredients
4 eggs
- ·1½ cups sugar
- ·¾ cup oil
- ·½ cup milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate milk mix (minus one tablespoon)
- 1¼ cups flour
- 2¼ teaspoons baking powder (10 g)
Ganache
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 3½ oz. dark chocolate (100 g)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ½ teaspoon honey
Instructions
Cake:
- Preheat the oven at 325°F (160°C)
- Add the eggs and sugar into the mixer bowl
- Beat on the highest speed until fluffy
- Lower the mixer speed, then add the oil, milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extract
- Add in the shredded coconut (optional)
- Pour in the chocolate milk mix with the cacao powder stirred in
- Add the flour and baking powder and allow to mix well
- Pour the batter into a baking pan
- Tap the baking pan on the countertop for the mixture to flatten evenly and to get rid of any air pockets
- Convection bake for about 40 minutes
Ganache:
- Heat the heavy cream, then melt the chocolate in it
- Add oil and honey
- Mix well and allow to cool for a bit
- Take the cake out of the oven and tap it on the countertop
- Slice it into pieces while still hot
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the cake immediately after slicing it (while still in the pan)
- Serve and enjoy
