Homemade Airy Focaccia Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups flour (11oz. /320g)
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast (½oz. /15g)
- 1 teaspoon sugar (⅛oz. /5g)
- 1 teaspoon salt (⅛oz. /5g)
- 1 cup lukewarm water (240 ml)
- ⅓ cup olive oil for rubbing
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients and knead (use your hands or a mixer) for 10 minutes until you get an even and smooth dough.
- Form the dough into a ball, rub it with a little oil, and place it in a separate bowl.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest/rise for 15 minutes.
- After the dough rises, use a knife to divide it into 3 equal parts.
- Flatten the dough with your hands and make a long oval shape out of each ball.
- Allow the ovals to rest for 5 minutes.
- Bake in a grilling skillet or in a preheated oven at 480°F (250°C) for about 12 minutes or until golden.
