Heavenly Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Nothing beats a chilled creamy dessert on a hot summer day, and chocolate mousse is a perfect choice.
It satisfies your senses with the indulgent chocolate flavor and the velvety soft texture. So, even sitting in the comfort of your home, you get to experience a classic French dessert.
You can also try this recipe with nondairy substitutes and still enjoy the taste of a delicious treat.

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream or a nondairy substitute (250 ml)
- 1 tsp. instant coffee
- 7 oz. dark chocolate (200 g)
- ¼ cup milk (or water for the nondairy version)
Instructions
- Break the chocolate into little pieces and place into a microwavable bowl
- Pour the milk over the chocolate (or the water)
- Microwave in bursts of 30 seconds until smooth (stirring the mixture in between and putting it back)
- Set aside to cool down slightly
- Put the heavy cream (or nondairy substitute) with the instant coffee into a medium mixing bowl
- Beat by hand or with an electric mixture until firm (don’t overbeat the cream, it’s ok if it’s a bit runny)
- Add the melted chocolate to the mixture and fold gently until combined
- Pour into small cups and garnish with your favorite topping (whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh fruits)
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve
