Ingredients

  • 1 beautiful cauliflower or a bag of frozen cauliflower
  • A bunch of cilantro
  • 1 onion (chopped and fried)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soup mix
  • A pinch of paprika
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  • Split the cauliflower into florets.
  • Place the florets into a pot of water with a sprinkle of salt.
  • Cook for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and crush the cooked florets.
  • Add the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  • Add the cilantro, flour, fried onion, egg, lemon juice, and spices.
  • Mix everything well and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  • Heat some oil in a shallow pan.
  • Dampen your hands and form the patties.
  • Don’t wait too long before putting them into the oil.
  • Fry until golden (on both sides).
  • Drain the oil on a paper towel before serving.
