They’re so fluffy and light that I just can’t get enough! That’s why I’m so happy to share this recipe for yeast cake with you.
It may not sound like it, but this cake is just as scrumptious and satisfying as it is beautiful. Even though they’re actually chocolate-filled yeast rolls as opposed to actual cakes, they’re still just the thing to get your morning off on the right foot.

Why this Yeast Cake Recipe is A MUST-try:
Frequently Asked Questions:
The Best Yeast Cake Recipe
What kind of chocolate spread do you use on the dough before rolling?
Nutella.
Is one cup of oil enough for this amount of flour? Isn’t it too little?
It’s not too little because there are also 3 eggs in the recipe. Together, that’s quite sufficient for the amount of flour used in this recipe.
The cake looks so perfect! How do you get this shape?
I start by making six rolls. Then, I braid every two rolls into a single twist.
It looks amazing! Can I use self-rising flour instead of regular flour with yeast?
I’ve never tried it with self-rising flour. I prefer to use regular flour and add about 2 tablespoons of yeast.
How many parts do you divide the dough into? I mean, how many cakes come out in total?
Divide the dough into six rolls and braid each pair into one twist. That should come out to three cakes in total.
