Green Salad With Walnuts
Ingredients
- Salanova lettuce
- Lalique lettuce
- Romaine lettuce (optional to use any or all types of lettuce)
- Spring mix
- Arugula
- 6 radishes (thinly sliced)
- 10 cherry tomatoes (halved)
- ½ package Chinese sprouts
- A handful of walnuts and pecans (cut into 3)
- Craisins (optional)
- Salt
- Black pepper
Dressing:
- 3 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. mustard (or ½ tsp. if you don’t like a strong mustard taste)
- 2 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
- ½ lemon (squeezed)
Instructions
- Tear the lettuce leaves roughly with your hands and place them in a bowl. Avoid using a knife for cutting.
- Slice the radishes,cherry tomatoes, Chinese sprouts.
- add a handful of walnuts and pecans (cut into thirds) to the bowl.
- Sprinkle the salad with a pinch of salt and black pepper for seasoning.
- In a jar, combine the dressing ingredients, shake the jar to mix the dressing thoroughly.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to ensure all the ingredients are coated.
- Allow the salad to rest for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, give the salad a final taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
