Ingredients

Donuts:

  • 1 tsp. dry yeast
  • 1 potato
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • 3 drops rose water (optional)
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 cups gluten-free self-rising flour (for example, Orgran or Doves Farm)

Glaze:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2½ cups water
  • 1 slice of lemon

Instructions

  • Cook the potato, then mash it in a bowl.
  • Add flour, yeast, sugar, salt, rose water, and water.
  • Knead into a smooth dough, cover and allow to rest for an hour.
  • Cook all the glaze ingredients together for 20 minutes.
  • Slightly oil your hands and form balls from the dough.
  • Deep fry the balls.
  • Dip the fried donuts into the glaze and enjoy!
