Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • A bushel of cilantro
  • A bushel of parsley
  • ½ a bushel of dill
  • 1 onion (grated)
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 carrots (grated)
  • 3 potatoes (cooked)
  • 6 eggs

Spices:

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • Soup mix (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons flour or breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup oil

Instructions

  • Wash all the greens thoroughly
  • Chop by hand into small pieces
  • Add all the herbs, vegetables, and spices into a large bowl
  • Mix well until evenly combined
  • Add a quarter cup of oil into a large and deep pot
  • Heat over a high flame
  • Add some turmeric
  • Pour the mixture onto the hot oil and let cook for about half an hour
  • Lower the heat and close the lid
  • Leave for an additional ten minutes to cook all the way through
  • After getting a golden color on one side, place a plate upside down over the pot
  • Flip the pot onto the plate
  • Return the pie to the pot to fry the other side as well
