Quick and Delicious Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour (18 oz. / 1 kg)
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2¼ teaspoons baking powder (½ oz./ 10 g)
  • 7 fl. oz. plain yogurt (200 ml)
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
  • Mix all the ingredients
  • keep mixing until you have a soft dough (add some extra milk if needed)
  • Divide the pizza into two equal parts
  • Roll out each part into a rectangle
  • Spread a generous amount of tomato sauce
  • Sprinkle over some shredded cheese
  • Add your favorite toppings (olive slices, mushrooms, oregano, salami, feta cheese with Za’atar, etc.)
  • Roll up the dough just like a cinnamon roll and slice
  • Lay the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Sprinkle some more cheese on top
  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden on top

Tips

  • If you don’t have a mixer for this recipe, you can still make it. After all, kneading is always an excellent chance to get a bit of exercise.
