- 2 lbs. flour (sifted (1 kg))
- 2 tbsp. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- ½ cup olive oil
- 3½ cups lukewarm water (mineral)
- 1 tsp. salt
- A mixture of greens (to taste)
- Cilantro (to taste)
- Parsley (to taste)
- Minced garlic (to taste)
- Olive oil (to taste)
Instructions
- Put the sifted flour, dry yeast, and sugar in the mixer bowl and blend well.
- Add the oil and minced garlic, then pour the lukewarm water gradually.
- Salt the mixture.
- Knead the dough until it’s all soft and smooth.
- Rub the dough’s surface with a bit of oil, then let it rise and double in volume.
- Release the trapped air from the risen dough.
- Shape the loaf to your liking and brush the surface with an egg.
- Leave the dough to rise once again.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush the dough with the garlic-greens mixture.
- Bake the loaf for 25 minutes or until it’s golden all over.
Tips
- Don’t forget to check if the bottom side is done baking, too.
