Salads are an integral part of a Thai meal, it’s full of vegetables, nuts, and some really delicious sauces, no wonder it’s so popular around the world, plus it’s super easy to prepare so even you can make one in no time!

A great way to impress and more importantly nourish your kids, spouse or any close friend for that matter. but for now, we’re going for an easier version so you can follow along and master it.

Can I skip the pomegranate concentrate?

Yes, good luck.


According to the picture and the recipe itself, both white and purple cabbages are required. Can I use only one of them?

The original recipe is with purple cabbage only, but you’re totally welcome to use both if you like.

Crunchy Thai Salad Recipe

An easy-to-prepare salad with a crunchy texture to replace the soggy ones you're used to buy

Ingredients

  • ¼ purple cabbage
  • ¼ white cabbage
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 scallion stalk (sliced)
  • A handful of walnuts
  • A handful of craisins
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame
  • Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon date syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Beggin with cutting the cabbage and carrots into thin strips.
  • Add a bunch of scallion slices, walnuts, craisins, and black sesame.
  • Prepare the dressing by mixing the oil, lemon juice, date syrup, soy sauce, pomegranate concentrate, and salt.
  • Pour it over the salad and toss for even coverage.
