Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Squares

Ingredients
- 2 bars chocolate (broken into squares (200 g))
- 8 tbsp. date syrup
- 2 tbsp. peanut butter (preferably crunchy)
- 4 cups Rice Krispies
- 1½ bars chocolate (broken (150 g))
- 3 tbsp. peanut butter
- Candied pecans (for those who like it)
Instructions
- Put the two broken chocolate bars with the date syrup and two tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for half a minute, then stir.
- Microwave again until the chocolate and butter have completely melted.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the Rice Krispies in the tray.
- Pour the chocolate and peanut butter mix over the Krispies and mix well.
- Flatten the mixture using an offset spatula and put the tray in the freezer.
- Put a bar and a half of chocolate and three tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until thoroughly mixed.
- Pour the melted mixture over the frozen Krispies and top with the candied pecans if you like them.
- Put in the fridge until the chocolate becomes hard, then cut into squares.
- Keep the chocolate squares in an air-tight container with wax paper between each layer.
- Store in the fridge for up to 10 days and in the freezer for up to three months.
