Today, you’ll learn how to make chicken veggie meatballs, a traditional Tunisian dish that combines a boiling pot of flavors.

Chicken Veggie Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 lbs. ground chicken breast (500 g)
- 2 potatoes (cooked and mashed)
- 2 eggs (hard-boiled and diced)
- ½ cup semolina
- A bushel of cilantro (chopped (optional: replace with parsley or dill))
- 1½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- ½ tsp. turmeric
- ½ tsp. paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the ground chicken, potatoes, eggs, semolina, and cilantro. Stir the mixture slightly.
- Add the salt, black pepper, turmeric, and paprika to the bowl, and stir until all ingredients are combined well.
- Wear a pair of plastic gloves, and start forming oval patties from the mixture.
- Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a deep pan, so you’ll be able to deep-fry the patties.
- When the oil is hot enough, drop the patties and leave them until they’re fried properly.
- Serve and enjoy!
Tips
- If you like spicy food, you can add some hot chili to the ingredients—That’s how Tunisians like it anyway!
