If there’s another veggie that’s almost as misunderstood as broccoli, it’s cauliflower. That’s why today, we’ll share a tasty cauliflower recipe stovetop way of doing it!
You can serve it to the kids to get them to enjoy their vegetables or as a vegetarian-friendly meal for your friends and family. We must warn you, though, the mix between the spices and the sauces could leave everyone asking for more!

Cauliflower Recipe Stovetop Preparation
Ingredients
- Whole cauliflower (clean from leaves)
- Boiling water
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Coarse black pepper
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
- Breadcrumbs
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Sesame seeds
- Chili sauce / green tahini
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water, place it on the stove, and boil it.
- Place the cauliflower in a large bowl as the water is heating up.
- Once the water has boiled, pour it over the cauliflower until it’s covered, and add one tablespoon of salt.
- Leave the cauliflower in the bowl for about 20 minutes.
- Strain the cauliflower and leave it in the filter for another 10–15 minutes to eliminate all the excess water.
- Prepare a baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- Remove the cauliflower from the filter and place it on the baking pan.
- Mix one egg with salt, sweet paprika, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Spread the mixture thoroughly over the cauliflower.
- Mix the panko breadcrumbs with the regular ones and sesame seeds in another bowl, then sprinkle the mixture on the cauliflower.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 45 minutes.
- Once the 45 minutes are up, move the hot cauliflower into a serving dish and pour the chili sauce or green tahini over it.
