But what if we told you there’s a way to make it even better? We’re talking about adding hazelnuts and almonds to the mix and baking the biscotti yourself!
This biscotti with hazelnuts recipe is perfect for breakfast, mid-morning snacks, and even a quick dessert, as it’s full of flavors and has the right amount of sweetness.

Biscotti With Hazelnuts
Ingredients
- 3½ cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1½ tbsp. vanilla sugar (20 g)
- 2 cups untoasted almonds
- 1½ cups untoasted hazelnuts
- ½ cup craisins – optional
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 340°F (170°C).
- Mix your flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Now, in a different bowl, mix the eggs with the vanilla sugar, brandy, and sugar until well combined.
- After you’re done, pour the egg mixture slowly over the flour mix.
- Knead the mixture until everything is equally distributed and you have a slightly sticky dough.
- Sprinkle the almonds and hazelnuts on top of the dough and knead until they’re completely mixed in.
- Prepare a cookie sheet on the side and line it with parchment paper.
- Then, wet your hands and start forming big cylinders from the dough.
- Oil each cylinder and place it on the cookie sheet.
- Use your wet hands to slightly flatten the cylinders and form a 14”*8”*2” rectangle (35*20*4 cm).
- Place in the oven at 340°F (170°C) and let it bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Once the time is up, remove it from the oven and let it cool down a bit
- After that, use a sharp knife to cut diagonal ½”-thick slices (1 cm).
- Put those slices directly on the oven rake and bake for about 25 minutes until golden and enjoy!
