Why this Bagels With Sesame Seeds is A MUST-try:

Ingredients
- 1 lb. sifted flour (½ kg)
- 1 tbsp. dry yeast
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1¼ cups water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. baking soda
- Sesame seeds (kosher salt, or any other desired toppings)
Instructions
- Fill ¾ of a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
- While the water comes to a boil, add the flour, yeast, and sugar to a large bowl and mix well.
- Add 1¼ cups of water and knead the dough well.
- Add the salt and keep kneading well.
- Set the dough aside to rest for about 10 minutes.
- Heat up the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- When the water in the pot is boiling, add the honey and mix. After that, add the baking soda and mix again.
- Divide the dough into 8 parts and shape each part into a bagel.
- Place each bagel in the boiling water for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Transfer the bagels to a baking pan and sprinkle with sesame seeds (or desired toppings) right away.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until nice and golden brown.
