Ingredients
Crust & top:
- 3½ cups flour
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2½ tsp. vanilla sugar (10 g)
- 2¼ tsp. baking powder (10 g)
- ½ cup cold water
- 1¼ sticks butter-flavored substitute (150 g)
- ½ cup oil
- 1 egg yolk
Filling:
- 10 apples (whichever type you like)
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- ¾ cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1½ oz. vanilla instant pudding mix (40 g)
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2¼ tsp. butter-flavored substitute (melted)
Topping:
- 1 egg (beat)
- 1 tsp. honey
- Sugar (to sprinkle)
Instructions
- Grab a large bowl, and put all the dough ingredients in it. Then, knead it well until it becomes firm.
- Peel your apples, dice them, and put them in a separate bowl.
- On the apples, add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla pudding mix, brown sugar, butter substitute, and flour, Then, stir well using a spatula.
- Get the dough again and divide it into two equal parts. Put one part in the parchment-lined pie pan, but make sure to flour the paper first. Start rolling the dough out so that it covers the whole bottom. Make sure to distribute it evenly.
- Put the apple filling on top, and distribute it evenly on the dough.
- Put the remaining dough on top of the filling, covering the entire thing with it. You can create a pattern on the dough here using a stencil.
- In a small bowl, mix an egg with a teaspoon of honey. Using a brush, brush the top of the pie with this mixture, then sprinkle some sugar on top.
- Put the pan in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C).
- After 45 minutes, take the pie out and brush it with some honey diluted in hot water. Then, put it back for two minutes, and serve!
