No use for the yolks?
Of course, they should be mixed with cheese and sour cream.
Looks amazing! How long do you bake it for; 45 minutes like a regular cake? And did you put a pan with water in the bottom of the oven?
No need for a pan with water, just like a regular cake. I checked with a knife to see that it was baked and removed. After the cake completely cooled down, I flipped it over onto a serving dish.
Can I skip the oil?
Without oil, the cheesecake will come out very dense, but still edible.
Did you bake it while the pan design is on the top?
The design is always in the bottom, and then you flip the cake over before serving.

Super Easy and Airy Cheese Cake Recipe
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 eggs (separated)
- 1½ cups flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup oil
- 9 oz. quark creamy soft cheese (250 g)
- 7 fl. oz. sour cream (200 ml)
- 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Separate the egg whites and the sugar from the other ingredients, then mix everything else to form a batter.
- Grab your egg whites and whip them with sugar until you get a firm foam.
- Fold the foam into the batter.
- Paint your baking pan with oil to prevent stickiness, then pour your mixture into it.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C), then bake your cheesecake for around 40 minutes or until the top layer is nice and golden.
- Remember that the baking duration varies, depending on the oven you have.
